Voices in music that irritate you

Dave Matthews. The jerkoff from Matchbox 20. I loved the Chili Peppers and Green Day back in high school and college, but I can't stand to listen to either of those guys anymore.

Oh, so you hate talent? [/everywomanintheworld]

I like Adele. My list starts with Eddie Vedder, which is a shame because I love Pearl Jam's music otherwise.

The lead singer of Sugarland tops my list. God, that voice is so twangy it's like claws on a chalkboard.

Preach. Verbal gymnastics for the sake of verbal gymnastics. Lord how I hate that band.

In rock, was there any doubt who my vote would be?

One voice I could never stand was Corey Hart, the "Sunglasses at Night" guy; it seemed like he was trying to sing in a low voice and high voice both at the same time. Thank god he was just a one-hit wonder.

From my hair metal-listening days, from the "oh my god, how far has his voice fallen?" category is Don Dokken.

One interesting case to me was Stephen Pearcy from Ratt. You listen to it and it's not a good singing voice, but it was so distinctive, you couldn't imagine that band with another lead singer.
