Kiffin did a pretty good job at UT with an awful QB. He just about punked Fla. after trash-talking them and with no kids he recruited.

He actually brought some respect to the Raiders after the debacle of Shell/Walsh.

He appears a bit too put together but from a (far) outsider, he's far from a failure if you ask me. (Oh yeah, and what a better half, sadly in the NFL they do not tout that as much as in college.)

I'm about 100 percent sure that Carroll, who was the defacto defensive coordinator, did the same thing.

He wasn't all that great in the NFL or at Tennessee.

His father . Monte Kiffin is the guy who really pioneered the 4-3 under D that Carrol used with great success.
