123rd U.S. Open Championship

Walked around for a while today, what a great joint. Not every major course makes me wanna grab my clubs out of the car and sneak on but this one does.
I would think most U.S. Open courses would make you want to throw your clubs in a lake and run away screaming.

Koepka will be in the mix.
Dustin Johnson will be in the mix.
It's a great west coast story if Homa wins (and I love Max)
Thomas is in the mix.
McIlroy wins it.

On Golf Channel, I heard many players and analysts say wedge play was going to be a crucial factor on this course. So sadly I believe that lets McIlroy out.

Rory will backdoor top 10. He's not going to win. His headspace is supremely forked up right now.

Cantlay also would be a good story.

Wedge play? Spieth has been circling around the winner's circle of late. Time to bust through in a major again.

I know the area, and while they have some dedicated spaces at some remote lots - I don't know how the parking is suppose to work. Is Uber an official sponsor? Most places have people park at another golf course or something - in LA, in that part of LA - good luck.

ADD - the nearest light-rail station is three miles away. And it isnt like UCLA has a lot of parking either.

The USGA has been on site for two years figuring out those logistics. There was very little parking around Congressional either when it was held there, but the USGA set up shuttles to lots in northern Virginia and in the Rockville area.

Is it really that big of a deal when one of the world's .00001% of golfers holes a shot?

Really?
