NFL Conference Championship Sunday

Thinking more of last year, with that schedule caveat in mind of the NFC East drawing the NFC North and AFC West ... Good lord the Giants are going to have a hell of a time digging out of their current hole against that slate. The only non-playoff home games they have are against Dallas and San Francisco, both of whom I think rebound next year after down years this year. They do get Chicago, Vegas, New Orleans and New England, but all away. Hard to see them winning more than three or four next year.

Yes well the good news is they have a strong & sturdy HC-GM leadership combo to guide them thru these times.

Allen will take the heat but the problem is their defense. They've allowed 34, 42, 27 and 32 points in the four playoff losses to KC. That's too many.

Plus they chased that extra point they took off the board for the entire game, and it cost them.

Yep. You can complain about the reviews and whatever, and they are valid especially the first down where maybe Buffalo goes and ices the game, but the defense had all the chances in the world to end it, even with three time outs left after the fourth and five. They had several chances in the fourth quarter to get one stop and a chance to win.

Let's also not forget this has not been a good Chiefs scoring team. That was the most points they scored this year. I honestly thought that combined with Buffalo's offense would finally be the downfall of the Chiefs, but the Buffalo defense said, not today!

When you look at the schedule though, it makes sense in a weird way. Next year is absolutely a lost cause for the Giants so why eat up the next guy's honeymoon? Load up on more high picks and draft a better quarterback in 2026 than you could find in this year's scrap pile. Then the QB and coach start on the same cycle together.

Best replay I've seen of Allen's sneak. The ball is clearly visible. Looks to me like he made it. The official at the top of the TV screen, who also had this view, ran in toward the pile ready to mark the ball past the line to gain. But instead the NFL went with the call of the official visible in this video, who had no way to see where the football was.

Did you copy and paste that from a post you made on a Titans board somewhere?

Plus he had to get around a Chiefs player who appeared to take him off his line a bit.
