2013 MLB Regular Season running thread

I can't wait for the day the Dodgers realize Chris Capuano is trash. You'd think they'd have figured it out when every other start is a five-run shirtty outing.

Soon to be former usher at Wrigley?

I'm probably the only one here who feels this way, but it's time for MLB to retire the Stars and Stripes caps.

And the camouflage caps, and third, fourth, fifth, sixth and beyond jerseys (I'm talking to you, Brewers).

The stars and stripes caps are a lot better since they made all of the home ones white and the road ones gray. They pair up with the home and road uniforms and aren't too obnoxious for one day.
A few years back, when they were all red or blue, they looked dumb. You had teams like the Mets wearing red caps, or teams like the A's wearing blue. It was awful.

And it was still awful this year. Teams like the A's and Rockies looked stupid.

I don't think they'd look so bad if they let teams wear the Stars and Stripes with their normal colors. But it's all a money grab, and it's not going away anytime soon.

I'd exempt the Padres from any no-camo uniforms, though. They give honoring the military more than lip service.

Their camo jersey/cap combo also looks pretty sweet. I love that color. It's somewhere between olive drab and desert sand.

And it somewhat fits with their normal color scheme too.

The Brewers need to just bring back their old look with the ball in glove "MB" permamently and retire the current ones which scream, "we did market research and our data suggests that the casual fan likes navy blue more than royal blue and gold more than yellow."
