2023-24 Running NBA thread

Klay and McDaniels shouldn't have been tossed. No reason to toss Rudy (he had him in a headlock? Only the Warriors announcers, whom Tommy Heinsohn's ghost thinks are a bit much with the homerism, would say that since the other angle clearly showed him only starting to grab Klay before getting choked out). Draymond was rightfully gone and should get a few more games added on. And as Gobert said in the postgame, with Steph out it was almost predictable that Draymond would look for any excuse to get ejected. A complete front-runner. But hey, should make for a good podcast.

The only argument to toss Gobert is probably why they tossed Klay and McDaniels: to cool everyone down. Honestly without the other shenanigans, Klay and McDaniels get techs and it's over. But you have a scrum and Dreymond takes it too far, so everyone has to go. Gobert has Klay around the chest to break it up, so keeping him in the game was fine. But I could argue just to keep it even and send a message, a two-for-two ejection wouldn't have been egregious but certainly the refs got it right.

The thing about basketball, is some of these players are so tall, they'd have to bend down to grab a guy in anything but a headlock.

I'm with you - as a special event kind of thing, I love the floors. The red ones are a bit much, but that's ok.
They look like they dumped all the Crayolas on the floor and let the kid who could stay inside the lines do the work.

Yeah, I'm doubling down. ;)

Whatever, if the W's don't find any scoring besides Curry, they're toast (even the rookie last night (23) outscored anything that Klay or Wiggins has done all year).

Pop gets cranky and pulls a Sam Wyche with the home crowd.
"You don't live in Houston, you live in San Antonio!"

Seeing tonight's garish color combinations for the tournament games has me curious: How many floors do NBA teams have? Do they constantly repaint or otherwise decorate them?
