We are at a point where Duke might actually be the least unlikable team (though I don't really care anymore about Sampson's show cause). A national title for Scheyer in year no. 3 makes Coach K a FRAUD!!!! Or at least proves he wasn't some sage whisperer (just a stone-cold cheater who was better at covering it up than everyone else).

Both the men's and women's Final Fours might be pure chalk … although with Watkins' injury, UConn could crash the party on the women's side. But they're not exactly an underdog.

UConn is a 13.5 point favorite, so, no, not an underdog. A USC win would be a massive upset.

Final Four is one team still new to the national spotlight, one program that has been to a few Final Fours but only one recently, one that was a power two decades ago and half of the next before a decade-long dry spell and a genuine blue blood. Not all 1 seeds are built alike and NIL doesn't inevitably lead to all the same superpowers year after year.

UAB's Yaxel Lendeborg has entered the transfer portal as well as declaring for the NBA. I imagine that if he does not get a 1st round evaluation he'll pull down a million dollar bag at a Power school. He's averaged a double double over the last two seasons. Led the team in FG, RB, Ast, St, and Bl. Only other player leading his team in five categories is Cooper Flagg.

Hope that he gets paid and if he stays in college does not get hurt. He's a quality kid.

Turns out Monday night women's Elite 8 can be a helluva bargain if you're local. Lower level parallel to the end line for less than $30. My last in person ride for the season. All hail the Hypnotoad!
