I might have liked it, too ... if I got to be on the offensive end all the time.I loved me some 6-on-6 girls' basketball.
Didn't some girls basically play 3-on-3 defense all game? Ugh.

It seems like every tournament has one team that does a 2-for-25 game. Somebody is going to meet that end. I'm not sure it's Bama.I'd venture to say that most college coaches, if given the choice, would be happy to let their opponent shoot 51 3-pointers because most teams are not going to make 25 of them every night.
Alabama is a good team and was on fire. It happens from time to time. There's just as good a chance that they come out against Duke and go 8-for-30 from 3-point range and lose by 10.

Geno not happy going back to the PNW for the third time.

UConn coach Geno Auriemma criticizes NCAA super regional format: ‘They ruined the game’
The crowds have grown in the super-regional era, but with more teams at fewer sites, some teams have complained about logistics.www.nytimes.com
He's not wrong about it being a goofy system, especially in a smaller city like Spokane, but he can still eat a deck. He's gotten to go Storrs-Albany/Hartford-Final Four how many times?
Last time I checked, Geno's pretty well paid, in part due to the ESPN money. And while having two regionals at one site is tough logistically, the added exposure ESPN has given the women's game has hopefully helped players get a bit more NIL money. He's not wrong about it being a goofy system, especially in a smaller city like Spokane, but he can still eat a deck. It's stupid -- and in place until 2028. But don't put the thing in freakin' Spokane. Then make teams there that play on Monday night fly cross-country to the Final Four in Tampa. Put them in Kansas City or Denver -- or at least somewhat close to the Final Four site.
And, yeah, UConn has had that nice path. That's what happens when a) the women's game 5-10 years ago was where it was and b) you are the dominant program in the country for 30 years.
FFS Duke just played it's first two men's games in Raleigh. And the men's regionals have become a joke. Yes, Florida, Maryland, Texas Tech and Arkansas in San Francisco with Arizona and BYU in Newark makes all the sense in the world.
