2024-25 College Basketball Thread

Not sure many people questioned the # 1 seeds at all.
Yes, but the rest of the Elite Eight was three No. 2 seeds and a No. 3. Only one team in the round of 16 was below a 6. Only three teams below a 10 won a game in the main draw. And accordingly people act like this month was the basketball equivalent of Superman IV.
 
I miss sports writing like this. Insightful, a touch of flair and context that really sparkles throughout.

Yeah. But this sentence:
"On Sunday, Sampson's close friend Rick Barnes became the latest team to get ripped apart by Houston."
Rick Barnes isn't a team.

Rick Barnes isn't a team.
And, after reading the entire story... just a recitation of facts and records. No real insight, no quotes, no color. Writer was there but I could have written this story from my den.
