I'm biased and when I worked at a TV station I worked with mets, but Denver and Colorado as a whole are pretty tough to forecast and there are a lot of variables. Namely because of the Divide. Lots of times there is no idea how things are going to develop because of the winds aloft. You could call for a blizzard and just a little jog, like a hurricane, and you can get nothing.
But we get everything here. Snow/cold/sometimes blizzards. Summer thunderstorms. Heat. Tornadoes on the Plains. We're in a bad dry/warm patch (no frost here yet; average first date is Oct. 7).
There's a really good guy with a huge Facebook following who does weather here and he breaks it down into very simplistic terms and what to expect. And he doesn't put up with BS on his site. It's a go-to every day and he's been breaking down the dynamics of Milton very well.
