2024 NBA playoffs thread

I love that Minnesota won the second half by 8 but lost the game by 21. That's a serious whooping that the other team can give up 63 and not break a sweat.

That is the most pathetic effort in an elimination game at home I can recall. Jeez Minn I thought you had something. Instead you got smoked in every aspect of the game; most importantly hustle, with home court.

The 2011 Mother's Day Massacre was even more glorious. It sent Phil Jackson into retirement and exposed Anthony Bynum for the dirty player that he was.

ABC wants to avoid having it on during sweeps, but didn't those end before Memorial Day? And isn't it their turn to carry the Stanley Cup?

Sweeps ended last week. ESPN has the Cup Final, which doesn't begin until June 8.

I feel I must be the only person in media or sports who doesn't care if TNT loses the NBA and doesn't care about Inside the NBA.

I love the show and would miss it if it's not the same crew. In a world of 125 absolutely awful pregame, halftime and postgame studio shows, having something that's extremely entertaining is definitely something I'm going to appreciate and actually make time to watch. I have to laugh when folks on Twitter will get mad at the show because it doesn't do enough deep analysis. I mean I enjoy Steve "Son of Snapper" Jones' deep-dive Twitter threads about the intricacies of the game but that would be the absolute last thing I'd want to watch on my TV at 1 a.m. EST after watching the Lakers blow a game against Golden State. What I do wanna watch is Ernie playing point guard with Shaq, Kenny and Chuck as they break balls, bench about players but also offer commentary that I actually do think is plenty good, all while they work with the best and funniest production folks in the biz.

Kings resign Mike Brown through 2027, per Woj.
