Haha well I said he's obviously not Will the Thrill (Mike the...Maniac?)! But in his pre-peak years, when he was on, that swing was a thing of beauty. Whatever it was went away with the injury though.

I have lots of good memories of Conforto as a Met. It was a big deal when they brought him up late in 2015. And he was a nice piece in the mix, the biggest being a scorching hot Yoenis Cespedes, in that run to the World Series.

I was at Game 4 when he hit two monster homers against the Royals in a Mets loss on Halloween.

The ill-timed shoulder injury and contract stuff really derailed him. Definitely a bummer.

But if he's healthy, he's a guy I can see having a sneaky great season. Gonna have a lot of pitches to hit in that juggernaut Dodgers lineup.
