It was pointed out on my late local news Curry's salary is equal to the payroll of the A's.
So of course he and his wife launched an initiative to raise $25M for literacy programs in Oakland schools.
 
I don't know if there had been an athlete in the Bay Area as beloved as Curry. Ever. Montana was idolized, but he wasn't that involved in the community. Mays was Mays before he hit SF, Bonds was standoffish. Rickey was adored, but it was strictly an East Bay thing. I don't even know if anyone is even close.

Honestly, I think his skill set will be worthless at that level. Now Kentucky? Oregon? Duke? North Carolina? Sure, but NIL deals for Bonnies? Way out on the lower tier? Happy he's following his bliss - but he'd be better off focusing on establishing a pipeline of foreign born players.
