That seems forking nuts, given the year he's coming off of. I would have thought he's in the $10m to $20m a year category, that sort of "maybe he'll be good again" clash of starting QB in free agency.

With Free Agency in the NFL, you don't even really evaluate the player so much as the financial terms. A lot of these teams offer their own FAs X years and Y per, and if they refuse it, offer it around until they get a taker.

That's insane. If they end up paying him that much, they made a huge mistake not working things out with Fields. Neither of them is enough to win a championship, but no way they should be overpaying what is left of Rodgers by that much.

I figured something like $50 million for two years, but only the first is fully guaranteed. At this point, I'm ready for them to say screw it and sign Winston.

As someone who watched pretty much every Rodgers pash this season, that's an insane overpay. He gets rid of the ball too quickly and he doesn't have the wheels he once did.

Would you rather the Steelers give Rodgers $90 million or Sam Darnold $100 million? Bottom line, after this run of Rudolph, Hodges, Trubisky, Pickett, Russell, and Fields, they're still going to need a long-term answer regardless of who they sign.
