This kid is a forking idiot...

I'm beginning to think the Big Ten might be as serious about Rutgers as it is/was about Missouri.

It makes sense for them to try to grab another school in the Big 12 North to pair with Nebraska, but who knows, that could be Notre Dame and if that happens after adding teams in Indiana and Nebraska, they might add Pitt or Rutgers or Syracuse or even Maryland. The Big 10 either needs to stop at 12 or get to 14 or 16. If they get to 14, no way is Missouri included, if it's 16, Mizzou has a chance.

Right now, I'm kind of hoping a Texas school defects to another conference and Missouri or KU winds up in the Pac-10.

I may be blinded by SECfanboyism, but I *really* think A&M to the SEC makes sense and could go down.

As much as I hate the movement that's afoot, I will say that Nebraska is sort of a natural fit for the Big 10.

Big 10 Bylaws: Section C Rule 3:
All member schools must have a cornfield within 50 miles of the football stadium.

Completely agree.

I think the whole Gene Stallings angle also matters.

I said the same thing a few pages ago and I am not an SEC fanboi.

A&M is a better fit in the SEC than it is in the Pac-10.

It had a long-standing series with LSU that ended with the start of the Big 12 and just started a new series with Arkansas at Jerryworld last season.

If given the choice I think their fans would pick the SEC over the godless hippies in the Pac 10.

First Colorado.
Now Nebraska.

The Big 12 officially now has adopted this R.E.M. classic as its official theme song....

That's great, it starts with an earthquake, birds and snakes, an aeroplane -
Lenny Bruce is not afraid. Eye of a hurricane, listen to yourself churn -
world serves its own needs, regardless of your own needs. Feed it up a knock,
speed, grunt no, strength no. Ladder structure clatter with fear of height,
down height. Wire in a fire, represent the seven games in a government for
hire and a combat site. Left her, wasn't coming in a hurry with the furies
breathing down your neck. Team by team reporters baffled, trump, tethered
crop. Look at that low plane! Fine then. Uh oh, overflow, population,
common group, but it'll do. Save yourself, serve yourself. World serves its
own needs, listen to your heart bleed. Tell me with the rapture and the
reverent in the right - right. You vitriolic, patriotic, slam, fight, bright
light, feeling pretty psyched.

It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

I think Lebreton's column from before makes a good point: it might be beneficial for A&M to get away from Texas by going to the SEC. Would give them something they could point to in recruiting that Texas couldn't offer.
