College football -- 10/12-14

In other news, Oklahoma State WR Adarius Bowman had 13 catches for 300 forking yards against Kansas.

13 receptions, 300 yards.

You forgot the four touchdowns. And the 42 points Oklahoma State scored in the last 23-plus minutes.

Thanks for the reminder, I had nearly washed that gone from my memory.

To change the subject, how bad is Northwestern? The New Hampshire team that popped it 34-17 lost its homegaming game to James Madison 42-23. I was there, and it was a simple physical mismatch up front for 60 minutes. A Big 10 team got beat by a FINESSE I-AA team. Whoa, that sucks.

Here's the fight as it happened. At the 1:48 mark, the color commentator decides to lose his job.

This footage, combined with the announcer, is a damning indictment of the Miami Hurricane football culture.

They should be sent to the depths of Div. I football for this.

Wow - that is a disgrace for college football

- that Miami announcer -- "you don't come into the OB and talk smack "

No way he ever works again - anyone know who it is - has to be ex player

How bad is Illinois... and therefore, how bad is sparty?

Answer: not nearly as bad as Miami, muthaforkas

It just seems kind of sad that Ron Franklin, once The Voice of ESPN's Saturday night primetime game, just finished calling Boise State-New Mexico State on a Sunday night.

It should be noted that Lamar Thomas is the same bag of shirt who once repeatedly slammed his pregnant fiancee's head into a shower wall while a member of the Bucs.

Better game than a lot of Saturday night games. More fun, anyway.

Speaking of Miami, overheard tonight when the number went up to 31 total suspended.

"Should we get some mugshots for the front?"

followed by giggles all across the floor.

What's really funny is that UMiami is one of the finer private universities in the country. Yet, by watching that tape and listening to that goon you'd think they were another UNLV-like degree factory. It amazes me that some of the more prominent alums of that school dont get down on their knees and get in Shalala's face about the behavior of this program and what an utter disgrace they are.
