College football week 14 thread: ATLiens

How do they scalp tickets now that everything has gone to digital ticketing? Is there a guy with a trenchcoat full of burner phones working the corner?
I may be mistaken but I think there's a smart-phone fence 'round these parts. He might be able to provide some insight.

We went to Game 3 of the 2010 Series and the two tickets I bought from a licensed ticket broker weren't valid. The broker made it right and we got in, but not without some angst. My son and I had to take the $$$ that had been refunded and meet the broker's "guy" for an on-the-down-low transaction right outside one of the Ballpark's main entrances. All ended well, but whoo boy was that a nerve-wracking experience.
I paid $100 for a student ticket vs. FSU at the Swamp in 1997 ... and the next year U of F required a student ID with the ticket.

The only scalpers left deal with high end tickets/packages. The rise of the digital ticket and Seat Geeks of the world cut off the back channel grey market of bribes through the teams or Ticketmaster.

ACC officials will work the national title game.

B1G officials will work the Sugar Bowl.

Big 12 officials will work the Rose Bowl.

Just heard a football expert say:

"The system's the system and everybody knows the rules."

Except the system is effed and has been lucky for much of the past 10 years of the CFP.

The teams playing the games certainly don't know the rules because they basically change on a whim and nonsense elements are added.
I'm surprised the criteria haven't included who has the best band or biggest cheer squad. heck, maybe they do.

Following C.J. Stroud didn't help Honda McCord any.

There were six consensus 5-star QBs in the Class of 2021. With McCord leaving only one is left at his original school -- JJ McCarthy.

Quinn Ewers was No. 1
Caleb Williams was No.2
Sam Huard was No. 3, went from Washington to CAL POLY
Brock Vandagriff was No. 4, now leaving Georgia
McCarthy was No. 5
McCord was No. 6
