Working Thursday as Thanksgiving really isn't a thing out here, save for certain expat circles. I did manage to snag a table at my favorite barbecue joint (which also does Fourth of July events) and will have the semiannual video call with the extended family on Friday after the Cornhuskers find their latest way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Other than the one uncle who constantly complains about my not living in the US, I'm looking forward to it. All the drama seems to be concentrated on the other side of the family these days.
