General movie news thread

I know I'll see it but the casting for some of them besides Lex just doesn't fit. It's probably my bias based on previous people in those roles but some are jarring

Probably the wrong place for this but definitely movie-related.

I listen to a bit of UK radio and all the movie adverts have Don LaFontaine wannabes in American voice.

Do they associate movies with the US, even with a rich history of Bond and Python of their own?

I mean, the second example you give, their last movie was in 1989, ha. The UK still has robust theater and TV industries that provide plenty of talent to Hollywood, but I don't think they've been major movie players for a while. Wikipedia says the golden age of UK film was the 1940s.

And Edgar Wright!

Finally had a chance to watch "Unstoppable" the new movie in Prime about Anthony Robles life with Jharrel Jerome as Robles, Don Cheadle as ASU wrestling coach Shawn Charles and Jennifer Lopez as Robles' mom.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. I mean it's no "Vision Quest" but few movies are.
