I mean, the second example you give, their last movie was in 1989, ha. The UK still has robust theater and TV industries that provide plenty of talent to Hollywood, but I don't think they've been major movie players for a while. Wikipedia says the golden age of UK film was the 1940s.Probably the wrong place for this but definitely movie-related.
I listen to a bit of UK radio and all the movie adverts have Don LaFontaine wannabes in American voice.
Do they associate movies with the US, even with a rich history of Bond and Python of their own?
