How much does your significant other know about SJ.com?

OK, good.

I don't agree about "semantics," though. As the saying goes, "words matter." Journalists (and lawyers, as well) are in the business of words. On the Trump thing, people want to state it a certain way: "Trump bragged about sexual assault." Everybody wrote that after a while. Everybody. Anderson Cooper said it at the debate. And then when you push back on it, the construction that they affirmatively committed to, you're being "semantic" and "granular."

I'm honestly not trying to start something, but I LOL'd at this sentence, which, if I'm reading it right, is a semantic complaint about the use of the word "semantics."

WE ARE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS PEOPLE.

My wife knows I spend some time here. She doesn't quite understand why, but doesn't care as long as it doesn't interrupt our time together.

And friends who are/were involved with this board helped set up us on our first date.

Can't love or thank those friends enough. Special place in my heart and life.
