I stream. You stream. We all stream for…

True. But you're blacked out if you're local. I'm a fan of the Capitals and Orioles. (We can discuss the merits of actually watching the Orioles at a different time, yes.) Anyway, through my cable, I get every Capitals game that's not nationally televised on NBCSW, and same for the Orioles on MASN. It's a matter of convenience, and honestly, not that much more expensive, to just stick with cable and get those games. I would have to pay for internet through someone anyhow. Trust me, I've crunched the numbers, and I wouldn't save a lot by going to a complicated streaming deal.

Re sports, this is the list on Hulu Live (not simple Hulu). It also gets you your local stations without need for an antenna. Copped this from the Hulu site, obv.

Just the Masters on golf? Not enough for me. I'm still with DirecTV and I watch a ton of sports and am pretty much covered, though it's annoying as hell that a lot of events are shipped out to streaming services.

An acquaintance with decades in high-end media marketing made a suggestion. Could this work?

I have long maintained that a giant streaming superstore be set up. You can have a digital Netflix aisle, a Disney aisle, a Hulu aisle and and ESPN+ aisle. Think of it as grocery shopping. Many brands in sections and some get the best locations (like P&G). You would browse all of the aisles and simply shop for product. You would have to manage how much you buy, just like at the grocery store. The problem is that all of these media companies are greedy as hell and want all monies for themselves and therefore have little or no interest in being part of a superstore.

Here's what that boils down to:

"I have long maintained that companies that make $15 a month per customer should create a system where they only make 50 cents per customer, but they won't do it because they are greedy."

Unlike newspapers 20 years ago, the streaming giants better learn to adapt right now or they'll be lucky to get 50 cents per customer.

Any golf that's on the networks or ESPN is included. No golf channel that I'm aware of, but I'd never go looking for it so who knows.

Pretty big swing by Netflix here! WWE has always been kind of mercenary with its programming. While Raw is mostly ashociated with USA in its run, it has also gone on TNN when that network offered more, and Smackdown has bounced around from various highest bidders.
