2024-25 College Basketball Thread

Man they're salty AF on Reddit today. Doooooon't care. Other than getting whipped on the offensive glass Bama was - fine actually? Survive and advance.

Clemson went to an Elite 8 last year but because they don't belong to the fart-sniffer branch of the ACC they must automatically be trash. Got it.

Clemson was down 36-16 in the second half, and had 2 assists and 13 TO's at that point. They were lucky to only lose by two, and it really felt like the refs were trying to help them out.

Colorado State with a great second half. Memphis down nine, and letting the Rams run a ton of clock.

Career high for CSU point guard Kyan Evans.

I haven't said anything about CSU, but now everything is definitely gravy. This team was pretty terrible in the nonconference, but at this point might be the best CSU team ever. Not really kidding.

This 11-game winning streak has been nothing short of dominant. Destroyed Utah State twice (although, so did Boise and UCLA), handled Boise State twice, once on the road. This game.

Don't know if it will last any longer, but the team is extremely talented, Nique Clifford is simply amazing and he didn't even shoot well today, and they are just clicking everywhere.

An amazing run, especially for a lifelong fan used to disappointments.

Fun to watch. Have always liked their coach. Would be cool to see them get to the Sweet 16.

One game isn't the issue. His snob attitude about anything Southern is the issue. (And no, UVA doesn't count.) It's played out.

Upholding the banner of the MW.
Meanwhile, death, taxes and Memphis flaming out, right?

Feel like "getting the 5 seed and not only being an underdog to the 12 seed, but losing to the 12 seed" is about the ceiling for Penny as a coach. Seven seasons with one NCAA tournament win is a fireable offense at just about any program that's worth a damn.

In my defense of the MW, San Diego State shouldn't have been in the tournament. Utah State has played like that for the past month plus (see CSU beating them by 27 once and having a 28-point lead on them in the MW semifinals). New Mexico is very good, but a 10-7 game is a toss-up and UNM is probably better than a 10. I understand giving CSU a 12-seed with the whole resume, but they were probably more like an 8 at the end of the year.

I hope New Mexico can win. Didn't feel sorry for Utah State at all.

After Gonzaga ran over Georgia yesterday, Vandy is getting some SEC revenge today against Saint Mary's. Commodores up 12 early in the second half, and the Gaels' star point guard is on the bench with four fouls.
