L.A. sucks, but there is a happy ending ...

I hope there's a car chase up or down this street in your movie.

Turns out I took a photo of the hotel a few years ago waiting at the bottom of the 110 off-ramp.

Sorry, I see you wrote downtown LA and Westin Bonaventure in the opening post. I kinda tl/dr'd the beginning.

It has the oddest structure to get around the hotel. Open "paths" and it's hard to get from A to B easily.

For sure. ... so like I said: A super ballsy place to do a grab and dash!

Hey, that was my view Monday, as I walked back from the former L.A. Grand, dejected that it seemed like we were not going to recover our bag!

So you by your own account have a wonderful time until you leave your bags unaccompanied in an urban location, they get swiped, and the hotels, the airlines and especially the police do everything right to help you get them back but LA sucks?

Did you get freckles tattooed on your face before you left? That's the hot thang among the 'aspiring' actors.

I've heard elementary school kids say "sammiches" and it really doesn't bug me.

Adding the "ie" or "y" sound, while cutting off the word, always gets me. "sammies"; "footy" for football. They used to say "groundies" for groundstrokes in tennis. yuck.

I hated the Cubs growing up because of "Cubbies". Still grates.

My daughter used to do that with everything, including our cat. "Leo" became "Lee-ey."

Freaks.

My brother's prevailing story of his time living in L.A. is that he would go to the same grocery store for lunch every day, and every day, he'd see Walton Goggins just hanging out hoping that someone would recognize him.

maybe the one thing that unites Americans is we all know a poser who went out there to try to make it yuge.
