Masters Running Thread

What a swing there. It looked like Tiger was going to be within three shots, but Immelman drains a long one and Tiger misses a kick-in. It's Immelman's to lose at this point.

have never played golf. know next to zilch about it, despite covering the '84 masters. that said...

i just don't get the fawning over tiger woods, sure, he's great. but the walk-on-water treatment he gets from broadcasters like nantz and writers in general makes me chuckle.

gosh, did he choke away his chance to get into this thing by blowing the putt on 12. let's call it like it is.

am i wrong? ??? ??? ???

EDIT: beat me to it. thanks, dd and barsuk. guess golf broadcasters aren't allowed to whisper stuff like that while these world-class "athletes" are concentrating on those little balls that don't move. ::) ::) ::)

You're not wrong, although I give Nantz a little break today for calling out Kostis, or whoever it was, earlier.

See, I don't see that Tiger blew it so much on that last putt. Sure, it would have helped tremendously. But he's still four back. Immelman has to lose this to actually give up the jacket.

Five back ... for now.

whether or not it would have made this thing interesting is moot. TIGER CHOKED ON THE PUTT REGARDLESS, YES? but far be it to anyone say so on the air.

wussies.
