Masters Running Thread

Is this where we quit talking about Tiger? He's done. Move on.

I think if Snedeker can pull it together, he may have a shot. Maybe. I'm definitely rooting for that, although I have no complaints with Immelman winning. Seems like a nice enough guy, and he's played pretty damn well today considering the circumstances.

Tiger with a bogey.

Be nice to see him come from behind to win on a Sunday for a change.

See, I don't see that Tiger blew it so much on that last putt. Sure, it would have helped tremendously. But he's still four back. Immelman has to lose this to actually give up the jacket.

whether or not it would have made this thing interesting is moot. TIGER CHOKED ON THE PUTT REGARDLESS, YES? but far be it to anyone say so on the air.

wussies.

That's the politesse of golf broadcasting more than it is the Tiger Woods Effect. Johnny Miller is the only golf analyst who routinely calls it as he sees it, and has made himself an absolute star for having done so. But he's the only one who's ever gotten away with it on a weekly basis.

Opening was there for Tiger and he gagged it. Gotta make that putt on 13. And 14 is the second-easiest hole of the day and he makes bogey. Five back with four to play. Needs eagle on 14 and at least two birdies on the last three holes to get to 8 under. Not gonna happen.

Immelman was No. 17 in the world last June. Not sure before or after but that I do know.

I'm not sure I'm following here. Are we saying that they're biased in favor of Tiger simply because they didn't make a huge deal out of a missed putt? Had they made a big deal out of it, I suspect the same people would be questioning why they're talking so much about a guy four shots off the lead. Not that it matters. Tiger Woods is the greatest golfer ever to play the game, and folks should just consider themselves lucky to see him play the game.

Ladies and gentlemen, your Masters champion.............

Not Tiger Woods.

The sooner we, as a people, come to grips with that, the better.

Faldo's fairly honest.
