Masters Running Thread

A good example of a Tigerism from Feherty a minute ago: It's been a rough week. He's battled himself mostly.'

vs. what? Those 10 bad shots he had Mark O'Meara hit for him in the second round?

Another: "It's been an exasperating day for Tiger Woods." And it wasn't for Paul Casey?

Another: "Nice to see him smile. It's been a long, long day."

The guy played even par golf.

The guy hit an inordinate number of good shots that had bad results, too. That happens in this game.

zzzzzzz all you want, shockey, but Tiger IS the greatest golfer to ever play the game.

i don't doubt that. but i also don't really care.

Good for you.

More people do.

surely you jest. more people care about tiger/golf than don't? you might want to rethink that. :o :o :o

More people who are watching this care about Tiger than don't. The ratings don't lie.

And if you don't care about it at all, why are you posting about it?

See, I don't see that Tiger blew it so much on that last putt. Sure, it would have helped tremendously. But he's still four back. Immelman has to lose this to actually give up the jacket.

whether or not it would have made this thing interesting is moot. TIGER CHOKED ON THE PUTT REGARDLESS, YES? but far be it to anyone say so on the air.

wussies.
Guy cannot putt in the trailing position.

Uh-huh. You argue and hypothesize as much as the next guy. You're not one of the top candidates to be questioning why somebody posts on a thread. That's almost as bad as if I did.

He's saying he doesn't care. And he's coming on a thread about the Masters to say he doesn't care about the Masters.

And stop trolling for a fight. I'm not biting.

So just because more people care, everyone must?

I didn't say that.

I said more people -- I mean, more people watching this telecast -- are interested in how Tiger Woods is doing than they are in how Trevor Immelman is doing.

Nobody turned on their TV, save maybe his parents (and even they are interested in Tiger, I bet), to see Trevor Immelman play golf today. Guaran-forking-teed.

When do they lose interest in Tiger? When he's down 5 with 4 to go? Eight with 2 to go? Nine with one to go? When does it subside? That's the point, I believe. That the attention given to Tiger when he's not even in contention is out of hand.

More people watch when he's in the lead or close to the lead than when he's not.

Guaran-forking-teed.
