Well, if the Birds weren't going to catch one of the Grade A fish, I have no problems with this. Innings-eater who keeps you in games and gets you to the back end of the bullpen.

If Povich is set, and he should be after the past few outings, I have to think Dean Kremer's the odd man out for now. They love Sugano, and he's pulling in $13M this year to Kremer's $2.95M.I didn't realize Povich was named the fifth starter even after they brought back Gibson. I wonder who gets bumped.
Five days later and there is no update. I did see one report that he has no damage to his UCL and the second opinion is meant to confirm their treatment plan, but I'm not sure I trust the source.Good lord:

Sadly, I can't remember the last time "elbow discomfort" has been reported and it ends happily.Five days later and there is no update. I did see one report that he has no damage to his UCL and the second opinion is meant to confirm their treatment plan, but I'm not sure I trust the source.
How far did they send him for the second opinion? Is it in California and they sent him by bus?
