To me, the craziest thing about the Leon Lett Thanksgiving gift game is seeing the Cowboys and Dolphins playing in snow. It is jarring.

Looking back on it, I'm surprised the officials let the play stay alive long enough for Lett to even be a factor.

Love the bling. (shaking my head - and remind myself to be grateful Mark Davis is a couple ticks above Johnson). For those unaware, Woody is from the "No More Tears" Johnson and Johnson family. A company that he has never been allowed to have had any involvement whatsoever in, because even his family knows how clueless he is.

Brady Quinn and Levar Arrington were discussing douchy moves by NFL owners and said the insecure and bad ones always pull crap like landing their helicopter for the players to see during practice. And then there is Dan Rooney, who didn't have a reserved spot in the Steelers facility parking lot and if the spots are full, he had to walk more. No "valet service" or anything. Oh yeah, he drove to the facility like normal people. Are NFL owners the only boss types these days who still demand to be referred to as "Mr." ?

Unrelated - I'm almost certain I saw an NFL Films Presents episode that was on the Thanksgiving free turkey prank played on rookies. It was hilarious hearing the various variations teams did, almost like the movie about the joke called The Aristocrats. My favorite was when a coach or maybe another player actually arranged for the store that was "supposedly" where players were to pick up their turkeys, actually gave the rookies the turkeys - just to mess with the veterans who had set the rookies up.

BTW - giving turkeys away ON THANKSGIVING is kind of like giving away Christmas trees ON Christmas Day.

I keep trying to give Caleb Williams the benefit of the doubt. I say his supporting cast is mediocre at best. I say the draft experts had to see greatness in him.

But it's hard to justify all that right now.

I keep trying to give Caleb Williams the benefit of the doubt. I say his supporting cast is mediocre at best. I say the draft experts had to see greatness in him.

But it's hard to justify all that right now.

You realize he's less than 12 games into his career and he's playing the best team in the NFL on the road with a lame duck head coach who is 3-18 in road games during his tenure, right? The Bears have 99 problems, but Caleb ain't one.

Especially when your offense is spotty, why would you kick the extra point to get within nine points rather than try to get within one possession?

I always pegged Williams as ending up somewhere between Kyler Murray and Carson Palmer. The hype heading into any particular draft related to QBs is ridiculous. Just getting a 10-year starter at the position should be good enough - but no, players have to be "generational talents," "Can't miss" or Canton-bound before they even take an NFL snap.
Think about all the stuff said about the lowest ranked QBs in the NFL before they were drafted and its comical.

He is a rookie who spent most of the season with an offensive coordinator who was so bad that he was fired nine games into his first season with the team. Perhaps you are being a bit impatient?

He just set an all time rookie qb record for most passes without an interception. So he has passed with an A+ perhaps the biggest challenge rookie NFL passers face.
