NFL Week 13 Thread: Stevie Johnson won't forgive G-d for being a Steelers fan

Dumb quote, but this season is only 2/3rds over and who knows if these running fines will carry over until next year?

Will each player start with a clean slate each season?

Farrior and Ward got pretty vocal on this in the stories I have read, and hopefully the NFL will figure out you just cannot "wing it" from week to week on these rules.

Ward also had a very interesting thought that these confused refs could very easily blow a call in the playoffs and cost a team a win. A confused workforce (including refs) is not a productive workforce.

Tomlin is sticking up for his players, and the vets are sticking up for the young guys.
Who stuck up for Harrisons girlfriend?

Not what this is about.

No, but it is another reason Harrison is not going to get much sympathy. Goodell has chosen his targets wisely and the Steelers keep painting bullseyes on themselves.

Too late. You are in negative numbers and you fail to qualify for Final Jeopardy. Better luck next time.

If the Eagles finished even half their trips into the red zone with touchdowns instead of field goals, they'd score 50 points a game.

Roethlisberger's foot injury is a broken bone, not a sprain, but he still expects to play Sunday night.

Looks like Vick is going to go yet another game without a horrifying, career-ending injury. Oh well, there's always next week.

Here's something else you don't hear very often. Joe Theismann just made a good point. Matt Schaub was clearly hit with a blow to the head on a fourth-down incompletion, but no flag was thrown. The inconsistency on these calls is just ridiculous.

Hansen's arms were open, and he was clearly trying to avoid contact with Schaub. Based on the replay, he grazed Schaub if he did anything. It was a good no-call. If a flag had been thrown, we'd be analyzing the replay and wondering where the heck the contact was. The fourth-down hit the Eagles put on Peyton Manning a couple weeks ago looked like a slobberknocker compared to this one.

I was in bigger disbelief at Theismann arguing that quarterbacks should have MORE protection. Really, Joe? Defenders already can't hit them above the numbers or below the knees. Should we just tie the flag belt to them? Make pass rushers count five Mississippi at the snap?

Five Mississippi is a little much, but five alligator seems about right.
