NFL Week 13 -- What About Love?

Beathard was 9 of 10 pashing. And if it had not been for a weak holding call on Anton Harrison, a 40-yard completion from Beathard to Ridley inside the 3 would not have been nullified and the Jags likely win. Not sure what game you were watching.

Beathard had moments of competence in San Francisco. There are certainly worse backup options out there. (Ahem..Zach Wilson/Tim Boyle)

About the one-handed catches. I remember in the '80's or early '99's there was an issue of receivers using gloves or stickum. Is that not an issue now? The catches you see today require an incredible amount of hand strength.

Has no idea what you're talking about.

This is a spectacular forking post.

Does anyone else here remember his stuttering interview after Super Bowl XV? I read years later he wasn't a born stutterer but was making fun of a stutterer as a kid and soon couldn't stop stuttering himself. Be nice to people, everyone! Except on message boards. Tell everyone to fork off there. :D

New Ducks sensation Leo Carlsson stutters. Brings up comparisons to former Kings star Dave Taylor, who really struggled but went to therapy to help fix the issue. BTW, Carlsson might be better at hockey than Bedard and Fantilli. We'll know in a few years.

Johnny Damon was a stutterer as a kid. Enjoyed doing interviews because it helped him remain sharp and reminded him how far he'd come.

Goes back farther than that:

This is probably a sort of urban legend, but supposedly at the time Belitnikoff signed with the Montreal Alouettes, the CFL only used three balls per game. His stickum had all of them unusable by the end of the first quarter, leading the CFL to outlaw stickum years before the NFL did.
