Please allow me to interject my feelings about Mother Nature

Woke up this morning, and my truck looked janky as can be covered in dust and spotted like a cat. Come to find out, there were dust storms in West Texas earlier this week. It got into the atmosphere, carried east, and came down with a little rain that fell overnight.

The same weatherperson in Waco or OKC would either be dead or a wx hero for standing his or her ground against the Finger of God. This might have been an EF-1 tops. A glorified waterspout.

This weekend an early morning storm with 90-mph straight line winds blew through my media market and killed a man staying in an RV at a drag strip on the east side of the county. Nobody at the NWS was forecasting this 12 hours earlier. Early sign of DOGE-style forecasting?

No clue but they've already got a Level 3 up for most of this state for Saturday. That's mighty early in the week for them to ring that bell, which makes me a little queasy.
