Please Come To Nashville (for my funeral): RIP Dave Loggins

Rambling boy can finally settle down. I still don't get why the chick in the song didn't want to go to Boston, Denver or an oceanfront house in LA - over Tennessee? Really?
And not just Tennessee. Presumably Loggins meant his hometown of Mountain City, as far back in the hills as you can get in the very northeast corner of the state.

Gotta think "Heavy Action," the Monday Night Football theme, has that beat.

Has the Masters theme song been heard more than any of his other songs -- combined?

How much time did MNF spend with Hank Jr. belting out his own theme song? Might explain it.

Gotta think the Olympic theme has to be the longest one of them all considering the Modern Olympics predate Dave Loggins by, oh, 51 years.

Yep, ABC started broadcasting the Olympic theme in 1968. "Heavy Action" first used for MNF in 1976. Didn't think I'd go down this rabbit hole tonight but it beats CNN.

That's a good point, though I think the MNF theme was still used then, maybe as commercial buffers?
