I guess Rory Sabbatini's shin splints weren't so bad after all, eh? He's leading the Sony Open at 4-under with guys still out on the course. I wonder if he'll talk afterward?

I hope not.

Nice to see the biggest jerk on the PGA Tour take a huge dump down the stretch at Pebble Beach.

I hate Vijay with a passion.

Switching gears, is there a prettier golf course in America than Pebble Beach?

If you like mountains there is....
Edgewood is fantastic, I loved it there

Kudos to Steve Lowery on his third Tour victory, all of them in playoffs. He has hit two of the most amazing shots I have ever seen; the double eagle at Castle Pines in 2002 and the 3-iron he hit out of the bunker yesterday on No. 9.

Watching a tournament at Pebble Beach in high definition is truly cool. heck, every course looks great in HD, especially Augusta. Ahhhh, only two months away....

Edit: Also kudos to Billy Walters and PGA Pro Fredrik Jacobson for winning the Pro-Am. Bill Walters is one of the world's best professional gamblers who was profiled under an assumed name in Michael Konik's "The Smart Money". I believe he owns a number of golf courses in Las Vegas as well...

Bernhard Langer at 5-under and one shot off the lead at the Players. Not bad for an old guy.

I have to say, I loved watching the Players yesterday. Goydos was a great story and it was nice to see Garcia make at least one important putt.

Goydos wearing a Long Beach State hat, even for a Cal State Fullerton alum like myself, was pretty cool to see this past weekend. He won Bay Hill years ago and won the Sony Open last year. What a great thing it would have been to see him get the Players championship and beat Sergio, too.

It would've been nice to see Goydos win, but on the other hand, despite his sometimes whiny nature, it was sort of nice to see Garcia play well at a big tourney again (besides the Ryder Cup).
