Running 2017-18 NBA regular season thread

Either Thomas works out real well in Los Angeles, or Walton will be out on his ass.

My Lakers are still years behind, but made room. I just hope they play Josh Hart and bring up Thomas Bryant. Hart can rebound and shoot and play D, Bryant confidence is growing. I like Isaiah Thomas, but I want Hart to develop and someone minutes gotta dip. I don't see Thomas mentoring Lonzo when he got his dad in his ear AND caused LeBron problems, his fav player.

N0. This had nothing to do with LA wanting Thomas, and everything to do with clearing cap space for the off season chase for the Lebron and Paul George.

No, but it gives Thomas a couple of months to show, if he can, the injury didn't totally wreck his game.

Disagree. I don't think the Lakers care much if Thomas ever plays for them. This was a salary dump and he had the expiring contract.
Agreed. Which is so crazy considering Thomas was incredible a year ago. Now he's just another salary dump who may or may not play much on a really bad team.

Didn't we do this dance last year when thenWarriors were "struggling"?
The struggles seem more real this year. The defense is shirt, and that was never the case a year ago. And with Steph's injuries and KD getting tossed every other game, I'd say this team is definitely beatable in a seven-game series.

Oklahoma City has blown Golden State out twice, and Houston has also beaten them twice and will likely get home court advantage at this rate.

Golden State is the favorite and for good reason, but I don't see them coasting to the Finals.

You think defense is a problem but they're going to lose to a team with Chris Paul and James Harden?

The Western Conference finals won't go six games.
