Running Shooting Thread 2024

Interested in hearing more about this one....

Airport executive director in Arkansas shot by ATF agents in raid at his home. Deceased was an avid gun collector. Family wonders why the raid had to happen at 6 a.m. when people were home sleeping.
It's a legit question when there are kids involved. I understand "officer safety" aspect, but I do question if that is the "safest" time to do one of these takedowns.

From the AP story, and surprise the NY Post would leave out such details:

In a heavily redacted warrant affidavit released Thursday, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said Malinowski bought over 150 guns between May 2021 and February 2024 that he resold without a dealer's license, KARK-TV reported.

About a half-dozen of those were found after being linked to a crime, and undercover federal agents bought three more from Malinowski at Arkansas gun shows, the affidavit said.

Malinowski bought the guns through legal means and checked a box on the purchase form to say they were for himself, according to the document. He would then resell them in as little as 24 hours through gun shows where he maintained a table or through private sales.

I just thought the airport angle was interesting. Seen enough crime shows that may or may not have been based on actual events that showed a lot of "bad stuff" being passed through Arkansas airports.

AL.com also made sure to get the full airport name in the headline. Fiduciary duty to harvest those right wing rage clicks and to heck with responsibility.

Why not just take the guy down in a traffic stop when he leaves for work, then execute a search warrant on his house immediately?

Or arrest him at his office, then do the same?

Thinking about all the kids who died on my watch woul make me sick too.

Surprise surprise. An airport director and Clinton connected in an illegal deal?

Lots of red lipstick showing.

OFFS ...

The airport director was well known in the gun show community for moving large numbers of firearms. His problem was he was stupid about it. He'd go buy a gun for, say, $500 at a legit firearms dealer and fill out the paperwork. One of the boxes you have to check states that you are buying the firearm for yourself and not somebody else (aka a straw purchase). That dumbass would then take that firearm, mark it up $50 to $100 and sell it at peer-to-peer gun show at the county fairgrounds. He did this more than 150 times between May 2021 and this past February. His problems really ramped up when five or six of them were linked to street crimes and the serial numbers traced back to him.

So, fork right off with that Clinton Body Count BS.
