Think that's where Jerry Ford hooked up with Old Leonid back in the day. As a kid watching Cronkite, I was fascinated by a town named Vladivostok. It was fairly easy for a kid to pronounce, as well. Now would be a good time to buy a train ticket to Vladivostok and see the Trans-Siberian Railway.

Really? Wow. Had no idea.Birthplace of Yul Brenner, too.
My son and I watched a documentary about the conductors on the Moscow-Vladivostok train a while back. It looks like quite a trip, though I have absolutely no desire to ever go to Russia.

Was recently rereading a book on Aldrich Ames. The CIA at one point (allegedly) was able to rig-up Geiger counter-type something-er-others to monitor missile movements on the Trans-Siberian railroad.
In completely unrelated news, Belfour's whiskey business seems to be doing well. I clicked to join his FB page a while back. No, I don't know why.
