It's Russia. It's about as "diverse" as most countries.

I had a lot of thoughts watching that, some that had me giggling, others that had me puzzling.

One was how fit they looked compared to the typical American kids I see . So now I am wondering if they are indicative of most Russian kids or if that was a beautiful people only thing. Or if it was staged somehow, to put the hot girls in the front and the nose pickers in the back.

As an aside. ... for my money, I still will take a mob of Cossacks singing the Russian National Anthem (or the old Soviet lyrics instead) over any show of nationalism on earth today. Every time I hear it, I am ready to set a wheat field on fire and pick up a sword.

They auditioned. They were chosen based on factors that almost certainly included attractiveness.

I'm not going to be the person who says with no evidence that the pretty girls will have "opportunities" with older Russian oligarchs in the future, but if that's the way it works out then I ain't gonna be surprised.

How do you know this? Do you know what it is from?

I don't speak Russian and I can only find that one clip of it on Youtube and Twitter.

From one description I ran through google translate, it might have been a graduation party or event of some sort, but I could have that completely wrong, too.

It looks staged, mostly because you can see what looks like an event organizer of some sort and a camerman in the shot at the end of the clip. But I can't say for sure what that was. Do you know? Was it being broadcast on TV? What exactly was it?
