That quirky thing about yourself that no one knows...

I prefer going to the movies alone.

That's how I am with concerts. And sometimes, amusement parks.

For concerts, I don't want to go with someone if I'm worried about them having a good time (i.e., don't take the wife to Rush), or if they're just gonna talk the whole time or ask what song this is half the time.

For amusement parks . . . if I go to Disney (where I interned twice), I don't need some dork who "went three times with my family as a kid!" to try to tell me where we should go next. And I don't want to be with some large group of rookies that makes our waits longer and creates a situation where we have to try to please eight different people with what we choose to see, ride, or eat.

I collect vintage soda and beer cans.

Used to collect beer cans and belonged to a beer can collecting group in Toronto but gave it up when the collection got way out of hand.

I will go (and have gone) pretty much anywhere alone, but I draw the line at amusement parks.

Akin to Fletch singing "Moon River," I croon "Oklahoma" in times of great pain or fecal emergency.

Ooooooooooooklahoma, where the wind comes sweepin' down the plain!

Someone near and dear just pointed out two slightly more lovable quirks:

I always have dog treats in my computer bag to give to any four-legged friends I may come across during the day, and I watch all television - ALL SHOWS - with the closed captioning on. Even though my hearing's fine. Probably the result of growing up with a family that never STFU, so I'd miss half the dialogue.

I honk at cows when driving and watch to see if they look.
Please delete your post. Otherwise HC will be honking the horn every time we go on one of our road trips.

Other than that I'm with Bubbler all the way.
