Ukraine Always Get What You Want

How reasonable is it that we could wake up one morning and have our accounts emptied through hacking?

Or that hackers can shut down our banking system and demand an insane ransom?

Maybe I've been doing too many drugs lately.

If they accidentally wipe out law school loans during this attack, I'll be all-in on Putin.

Russia's biggest beef seems to be that it isn't going to let Ukraine join NATO.
You need four things to be a state: Territory, Population, Sovereignty, and Government.
Sovereignty.
Russia saying it isn't going to let Ukraine do anything is itself an act of war.

Half of the Ukraine would rather be with Russia. The country as a whole could care less.

We get worked up so we can give our military an excuse to spend more money.

We will never blow ourselves off the planet, but we sure will act like that's a possibility to keep our military sponsors happy.

They said half of Czechoslovakia wanted to be with Germany, too.

Wife and her brother are from Krivoy Rog. She would prefer the nation join Russia (or split, with the "good" side aligning with it as an independent nation ---"Novorossiya").
Her brother, a former Russian Red Fleet officer, quit his job as a taxi driver and joined the Ukrainian army.

See? Half! :)

What worries me the most is what Putin does after Ukraine. It has already been said that it will be a predicate to China having a go at Taiwan. What if Putin gets emboldened and suddenly has designs on the Baltic states? At that point NATO is directly threatened. If NATO folds, that's the end of NATO.
