I have a nephew that spent 3 months in Nashville doing some schooling…..he said that Beale Street was cool….but once you got off of it, there wasn't much.

Unsure how to load the X post, but last night Lincoln Riley told a reporter to "ask a professional question" and dismissed the question posed to a player. Basically said the player's opinion didn't matter.

Anyone have more info? Seems he has a hard time out there with the media.

All I have to say on the outcome:
It is inconceivable Minnesota didn't score on the last play. But it was handled very poorly. The refs' "on the field ruling" was no touchdown, then video review, which is supposed to require conclusive evidence to overturn a call. How can anybody see where the ball is when 22 players are piled up and the ball is in the middle of it? Of all the replays I saw, the only glimpse of the ball was right after the snap, and the QB dropped his hands to waist level, not upper torso. His head and chest were over the goal line, but there is no view of where the ball is. Thus, impossible to overturn the call. Maybe the original call was bad, maybe not. Minnesota was great and probably deserved to win as they defused USC's pashing attack. The Trojans couldn't stop them on the final two drives, playing without their best defensive player -- injured linebacker Eric Gentry. But other athletes were there and they couldn't stop them.

Seeing the videos of Vandy fans parading through the city with the goal posts, I remembered a UCLA-Oregon State game in Corvallis. Homecoming, Beavers beat the Bruins, a big upset. Fans flood the field, goal post come down. Typical. A good 4 hours later, the Bruins media group had finished their stories and regrouped at a restaurant for dinner. We heard a commotion outside and looked out of the windows to see what was happening. Here comes a mob of people, dancing down the street, and they had a large piece of a goal post they were holding up and dancing around. Yes, that was at least 4 hours after the game ended.

I'm shocked there isn't more problems when fans rush the field. The earlier video showing the Bama coach trying to get his players off the field and it was clear they were getting Pishy with someone.

The memories of storming the field after a big win have to be fun, but they really need a buffer to get the other team off first.
