Week 1 College Football Thread: Seven Years of College Station Down the Drain

What's with all these teams with maroon and gold colors changing to dull rusty brownish red and dirty dull matte gold? It was apparent with USC yesterday and FSU tonight.

To its credit BC has apparently resisted this trend.

I've heard people suggest it may have something to do with the color mix of LED lighting becoming more common -- the lighting has more blue/greenish tinting so red uniforms look somewhat duller on teevee screens.
The changes imposed by Nike on Florida State continue to be ass.

Meanwhile, there's a Band Of Brothers marathon on AMC.

After LSU fired Ed Orgeron, Billy Napier was a popular option among the fan base who saw him as an up-and-comer from right down the road in Lafayette.
Brian Kelly hasn't taken them to the highest of highs yet, but I've gotta say that was a dodged bullet. Napier might as well start wearing a red Star Trek shirt to every press conference and game.
Great reference.

I'm imagining all the stories about what a mess FSU is. Top 10 ranking and losing to the bottom of the ACC.
