Week 1 College Football Thread: Seven Years of College Station Down the Drain

And I was pissed off when Tennessee showed 26 potential starters on defense and 22 on offense. Of course, the kicker and long snapper are both either/ors as well. Defeats the whole purpose if that's how teams are going to handle it.

God forbid Chattanooga know in advance who's going to do the long snapping for Tennessee.

Holy schnikes. Did I miss this, or did this fly totally under the radar?
Austin Peay's co-offensive coordinator — or former co-coordinator; he resigned last week, apparently when the heat was turning up — has been arrested for human trafficking. Patrick Kugler played football at Michigan from 2015-17 before going into coaching.

So, just to be clear ... he was a john?

Or a predator. Or both.

Patrick Kugler resigned as the co-offensive coordinator at Austin Peay on Sunday, a day after he was arrested as part of an undercover human trafficking operation in Montgomery County, Tenn.
Kugler, 29, was one of six men arrested by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation on Aug. 17, after they used decoy advertisements to "identify individuals seeking to engage in commercial sex acts with minors," the agency said in a release.

"Trafficking for sexual servitude" only requires a $5,000 bond in Tennessee? Christian family values and all that.

Every year or two, Austin Peay has a coach flame out in spectacular fashion, and each one seems to top the last.

They don't waive tuition entirely. They just offer in-state tuition to students from neighboring states. At the University of Arkansas, that means around $8,000 per school year vs. $28,000 for out-of-state tuition.

It's part of the reason there are so many vehicles with Texas tags in Fayetteville now.
Also a reason UA is at 32K undergrad and bursting at the seams. A good problem, to be sure.

Stalions says he 'never advance scouted' for U-M

Neither Stalions or Harbaugh could look you in the face and tell you the truth if their life depended on it.

That's par for the course in today's world, though, isn't it? Completely deny everything, say nothing happened, ignore whatever evidence or proof might be presented, say anyone who says otherwise is a liar and "poof" - it will eventually go away so you can reform and bounce back later.
