This might get people to watch Thursday night!

Packers players ask fans to lock arms as the players do during the anthem.

Packers asking fans to link arms during anthem

"This is about equality," the QB said. "This is about unity and love and growing together as a society and starting a conversation around something that may be a little bit uncomfortable for people. But we've got to come together and talk about these things and grow as a community, as a connected group of individuals in our society, and we're going to continue to show love and unity, and this week we're going to ask the fans to join in as well and come together and show people that we can be connected and we can grow together."

Team statement:

In actual action ...

Rams (2-1) at Cowboys (2-1): Not possible L.A. is for real, is it?

Steelers (2-1) at Ravens (2-1): Not possible Baltimore is that terrible, is it?

Raiders (2-1) at Broncos (2-1): Early shakeout battle in the toughest division.

Colts (1-2) at Seahawks (1-2), NBC prime time: Wow, flex scheduling can't get here soon enough.

Redskins (2-1) at Chiefs (3-0): MNF gets a rarity, the best game of the week. Think about the protests this could have prompted pre-Trump.

Will be curious to see if the protests are a one-and-done event, or will continue throughout the season.

Proposing we change the thread title to "Favre's replacement asks fans to join demonstration." Because even though the world has gone mad, out thread titles don't have to.

I've mentioned Good Morning Football on NFL Network before. I really like it.

Yeah, I wish I could watch that show. The few times I've caught it I really liked it. Just a great combination of voices. Pete Schrager is kind of a tool, but that's part of why it works. It's not just ex-athletes circle jerking each other. Burleson is a much better commentator that he ever was a football player. The other guy, can't remember his name, played in college at like William and Mary. It's a thinking man's panel, just the opposite of the dipshirt yodelers ya get on ESPN or FS1
