Week 4 NFL: Aaron Rodgers asks fans to join the demonstrations

I can see Uncle Al Michaels or Burnt wishing they were on the broadcast for just this occasion.

Bad beat aside, McDonough needs to watch more NFL. At the end of the game, he thought the Skins should challenge the Josh Dotson drop in the end zone. Last 2 minutes, the Skins can't challenge.
And if you watch ANY NFL, you know that drop is not "completing the process".

He also the chiefs would go for two with zeros on the clock. Garden had to correct him and say they were taking a knee.

Get it together, Sean.

I was also surprised that neither McDonough or Gruden noted that Alex Smith stayed in bounds late in the first half instead of avoiding a hit after a long scramble. Cost the team a time-out.

I like McDonough, and I think he does fine at college football, but the NFL is a different bird.
WWL should have gave Tirico the keys to the kingdom to keep him.
Him and Gruden were a natural fit.

Tirico got lead at the Olympics and lead golf guy from NBC in addition to the usual freight train full of cash. He's basically the replacement for Costas. It is very difficult for ESPN to match that kind of exposure because of the way it's structured.

I agree that McDonough is strangely not as good doing the NFL as he is college football and baseball. I can't put my finger on why, though.
