Your all-time favorite band

If that's not the greatest harp workout in rock history it's at least in the discussion.

J.Geils was *such* a good band live. Just one helluva good time. Peter Wolf was a great front man, with the white boy James Brown thing going. So much energy and that great R&B Review sort of vibe to the band. "Full House" is a fine, fine live record.

"Bloodshot" may have been a demi-disco record, but good lord the groove they laid down. I sweated on a dance floor to "Give It To Me" many times in my youth.

I was never aware of JGB before "Centerfold" other than a couple of minor hits before then. "Give It To Me" is a great jam.

I finally saw them a few years ago when they opened for Bob Seger and they were awesome. Just a killer set of Geils classics, "Whammer Jammer", "Lookin' For A Love", "Give It To Me", "Must Have Got Lost" and the epic "Pack Fair and Square" (which just explodes off Full House).
