2024-25 College Basketball Thread

Geno's gonna be ok. He never had a problem with Hartford or Bridgeport hosting every damned year.
You think this was something? Next year's Sweet 16 sites are Fort Worth and Sacramento. I'm sure he'll be delighted.

That said, his larger point is valid. I don't think the Midwest has had one yet in this format and at least one of the South or East get skipped every year while the Pacific time zone is apparently sacrosanct.

Say what you want about Geno: Making 18 of last 19 Elite Eights is incredible. And as of now, 15 of last 16 Final Fours.

Florida closes with an 18-4 run to keep a lot of brackets alive
Clayton is so damn good. I've seen him as a second round NBA pick. Don't know why
I don't get it, either. Not tall enough?
Texas Tech is devastated and lamenting missed 1-and-1 opportunities. But failed free throws don't have to result in 3-pointers by the opponent every single time. There's something to be said for clutch.
After TT took a 75-66 on Toppin's layup with 3:14 left, here's what Florida did:
Missed 3FG but offensive rebound; Haugh 3FG.
Haugh 3FG.
Clayton 3FG.
Clayton 3FG.
2-2 FT.
2-2 FT.
2-2 FT.
That's 4-5 from 3.
6-6 from the line.
That's 18 points in the final 2:50.
