2024 college football offseason thread

2024 has been a very good year so far.

Maybe the punishment for Fulmer selling his soul to the devil in 1998 had a 25-year shelf life.

Since they don't field a football team, here is who is going to get it.

2023-24 Cleveland State Men's Fencing Roster

Oddly enough, a softball player I covered signed with Cleveland State out of high school. The only athlete in my tenure who signed straight to Division I out of high school in any sport (some played D-I after going the juco route). She finished up at Wayne State in Nebraska, which as far as I know, isn't exactly a softball powerhouse.

I had so many Cleveland State jokes and no one I could tell them to who'd understand.

Jack up ticket prices and make it like an Alamo Drafthouse. Heated reclining seats everywhere and waiter service at the push of a button. You still only get 15,000 people, but now they're 15k paying top dollar and having a blast.

New Northwestern stadium will seat 35,000, which means 12,000 less tickets can be sold to visiting Iowa, Ohio State and Nebraska fans.

That seating capacity is about the same as soon to be non-Power 5 Martin Stadium at Washington State holds. Doed the renovated Oregon State stadium also seat 35,000, or is it more?
About 37k, and it's freaking beautiful.

My sister went to Wayne State in the early 90s. I think they've made the D-II football playoffs a couple of times, but I can't speak to the quality of their softball program.

I'm not much on "superfans" in general and his dad was much more famous. But that's still way too young.
