Futile exercise, yes, but I did it with the coach's poll. Not much different.

I guess Iowa is just everyone's default No. 25 team when you can't really think of one. Landed there in both major polls.
 
Calling my shot ... Iowa is going to be better than anyone expects.

That defense is still stupid good and if Cade McNamara can breathe, he's better than the sub-flotsam they had last year.

I think that beefy backup QB who couldn't throw or run left the program and is back behind the counter at Casey's General Store.
