Everything Bowl

So this is what we are left with.

One season where an SEC school was left out (Auburn 2004).

One season where a Pac-10 school was left out (USC 2002).

One season where a Big Ten team was left out (Michigan 2006).

And one season where no one earned the No. 2 slot but an SEC school happened to be the highest-ranked of the non-deserving (LSU 2008).

And this is PROOF! that the system is hopelessly biased in favor of a conference which has gone 7-for-7 in BCS title games but obviously didn't "deserve" a spot in several of them.

I expect such nonsense from fanbois. From journalists, it's just sad and reeks of subjective bitterness that originates from who knows where.

If ANY conference has received the benefit of the doubt over the years, perhaps it has been the Big 12 (Nebraska 2001, Oklahoma 2002, Oklahoma 2004). But that kind of spoils the conspiracy theory, doesn't it?

USC was actually left out in 2003, and Oregon also got hosed in 2001 (the Nebraska-Miami debacle; poor Joey Harrington never recovered from that one).
