Umm, so, Shaun King's tone is condescending and terrible and irate. Meanwhile, I think Jason Whitlock (the loser of many a Twitter fight) comes out on top ... by far.

Also, did anyone read King's story about Peyton Manning? Man, that story needed editing. It was a chore reading that. Why would the NYDN green-light an investigative piece so slanted to one side? It's not a column.

And lordy, this thing is getting a bit out of hand. Whew!
Posted in the other thread, but damn. ....

Both men should delete their tweets. It was pitiful to watch, and most Twitter fights are.
The inherent problem with that medium is it's easier to just act like a twit and rage at the person rather than present/defend an argument.

Don't know King from a hole in the wall. Not impressed with his work. Have known (way slightly) Jason for some time. His combativeness is a problem for him. Write something longer to make a point and let it go.
I'm not on Twitter because if I was I'd have to stop drinking.

Reading that was pretty unpleasant. despicable insults.

That actually might have been one of the best columns Whitlock has ever written. I'm not sure I 100% agree with everything, but I thought he made his argument fairly well.
